Words are funny, like civil wars. Mostly they are not nice, totally not civil, brother against brother killing for some one else who has no skin in the game. One appears to be scheduled for Nicaragua, probably early next year. Signs and patterns, OH MY, the things we get to see.
These wars all appear to be grand theater. Look closely at them, nothing but the rich getting richer, selling arms. Some of you may remember the cartoon character Little Orphan Annie. She had a benefactor called Daddy Warbucks if memory serves me correctly. Anyway he was a character in the cartoon strip. Appropriate name.
Back in the 1980s the government of Nicaragua outlawed US dollars, confiscated them as much as they could. Next they started forced conscription into the military services. Then the civil war which raged for almost 6 years. The same pattern is emerging now. About 6 weeks ago the government announced that US dollars will be confiscated starting January 1st 2024. The black market has responded by upping the exchange rate. Not much, about 3%, but the demand is high and think as the time draws near the exchange rate will increase.
Will be interesting to see what transpires.
Last civil war, El Bluff, where I live was peppered with random bullets from 50 cal guns. They just came through and shot up houses, no rhyme nor reason, just shoot everything up. Something to look forward to.
What is scheduled to happen now is again forced conscription into the military. This of course is a closely guarded secret. The conscription is for males between the ages of 15 and 55 and set to begin at the end of November. Will not divulge how I know this, lives are on the line here. They do not want the cat out of the bag, otherwise a mass exodus of male fighters. I am working behind the scenes to move people out. Pray for my success.
I had started a couple of months ago to help people leave the country, legally. Upped the process two days ago, researching where Nicaraguans could go legally and how to accomplish it. Yesterday I was made aware of the conscription secret, and start to piece all of the pieces together to see history repeating. Same pattern. Begs the question, as in the last civil war and this one that appears to be looming, how do they know? Grand theater it looks like.
I will sit this one on the sidelines, or bleachers and help as much as I can. Life is interesting. If you have a mind for prayer, pray for Nicaragua. Time will tell if what I think is going to happen will happen.
For the necessary image, this is one of me in Rama with my good friend.
War might be escalating everywhere. We should do all we can to deescalate. Don’t fight in their game. Best move is not to play.
A former roommate and friend lost his dad in the 80s civil war. I pray that you and yours will not have to try and dodge 50-caliber rounds.
