So many things to write about, and I really do not want to write.
This morning I was doing my usual sojourn in the forest; prayer time and thanksgiving time for me. Gave thanks for the little things, nice walking stick, great steel bowl for my dog to drink out of, these two things provided by the cosmos, no big deal, but still nice.
My original walking stick broke, and I was being lazy as I did not want to carry a saw out into the forest and cut another one, viola, where I parked my car, right next to the car door was a made to order walking stick, just the perfect diameter and length.
I use a small thin plastic bowl for my doggie to drink out of on our walks and they develop cracks easily. Was thinking about getting steel bowl, however I have an aversion to going into stores. Kept putting it off and then in the middle of the forest there was this perfect stainless steel bowl. Picked it up and there you have it. Give thanks for the little things.
Back to this morning, was doing my prayer time, and told the Cosmos that I would write more, but I needed clear direction, as I am always trying to put these things off. I do not like to write without some type of guidance. Trump and the Trump Derangement Syndrome, which has two sides, has been on my mind, know people that are on both sides of the issue. Blind to what I see as the truth, just my opinion.
Came across Hugo Talks, cannot remember which substack, either Tess Lawrie, or Kathleen Devanney. Both have interesting takes on what is happening and I get great insights from both. Hugo, in the 10 minute video below, talks about Trump and Biden as being part of the grand theater we are witnessing.
My take on Trump going back to 2016 and his presidential bid was he was either part of the theater or was made an offer he could not resist. Just a week or so before the Republican nominating convention he fired his campaign staff and surrounded himself with swamp creatures. Easy way to tell swamp creature is what organizations they belong to. Trilateral Commission people, definitely swamp creatures. Every one he hired was Trilateral. He kept adding Trilateral people as he went into the Trump versus Clinton campaign and even after he became President.
My thought was two fold, either he did not know how to recognize a swamp creature, or he was made an offer he could not resist; like play ball or die, ala the Godfather movie. Big question for me was why fire a successful campaign staff and hire anyone else? So either of those two thoughts was still in play as his presidency took effect and moved down the road. However there is a third thought, the theater event.
Trump and the Republicans had both chambers of congress, and nothing changed, lots of press about the border-wall, which was a big waste of money, but kept everyone buzzing. Nothing changed, the direction was the same, all of the main cabinet positions were filled with swamp creatures, as it has been for 60 or 70 years. The debt increased. They came out with a great replacement health care bill to replace the Affordable Health Care, which was not affordable to most Americans. Did help a few, but mostly cost everyone much more and did not show up in the inflation numbers, which surprised me not. That bill lasted online for about two days and then was taken down and another took its place which was another disaster and then nothing happened. Good theater.
Then along came Covid, and Trump did the operation Warp Speed for the bioweapon jab. He still stands behind this, even in the face of glaring evidence that it is most harmful and not effective. We have this supposedly horrible Marred Largo search and seizure, more theater that is dividing sides.
Take time to watch the Hugo talks video, I agree with him for the most part, one or two minor items I disagree with. Seems many people think that meditation is evil, how can that be?
Hugo talks, the grand theater.
Checkout this article on meditation in the Epoch times, nicely written and well researched. Notice in the Epoch times comments that there are several people that think meditation is of the devil. I have been accused of being in league with the devil, more or less because I advocate meditation, Tai Chi and Qigong.
In one of my past posts I mentioned a book about The Lost Years of Jesus, those 18 years that are missing from the Gospels. I lived in a Tibetan monastery back in 2006, I can affirm that Tibetans revere Jesus and that they have a record of those lost years at most monasteries. Almost certain that I have a copy of that record here, a 400 year old copy and it was written in silver ink as all of the sacred Buddhist scriptures are.
As a last note, it is coming close to the time that if you live in a large city, it may be time to move out, not to the suburbs, but more to the country. Cities are breaking down, crime is on the upswing and no accountability and civil structure along with infrastructure is also decaying. I just purchased a home for a disabled friend; moving him out of Portland OR into the country. I wanted him to be safe and live with dignity. He has minimal income and was living where he should not have. We are working towards making it as sustainable place to live as possible.
I leave you with this story, a Buddhist story, recorded in the Jataka Tales compiled by Robert Chalmers, it relates to the attachment of a turtle to his home pond. The turtle would not leave the pond where he lived even though all the other turtles, knowing there would be a drought, moved in time to a nearby river. When the drought came, the turtle in question, dug a hole and buried himself in the mud. There he was dug up by a bodhisattva who was digging for clay to use in making pottery. The turtle's shell was cracked by the potters spade while digging and the turtle died. The turtle commented on the folly of clinging too much to things just prior to his final breath. The bodhisattva took his body to the village and preached to the villagers about attachment. The turtle in the story ended up dying, stuck in the mud of the pond and thus is a tale about attachment. The turtle was too attached to his pond to leave for a safer place. In this story the turtle is identified with Ananda, the first cousin of Shakyamuni Buddha and his loyal attendant. Ananda is considered imperfect because he mourned the deaths of Shakyamuni and Shakyamuni’s favorite disciple Shariputra. This plays to the attachment problem.
OH NO, once again I need to write a postscript to my post. Jesus was out teaching and a rich man wanted to join in with the disciples. Jesus told him he was welcome, all he had to do was get rid of his riches and join in. The guy did not and Jesus made the comparison of a rich man following him as to a camel going through the eye of a needle. The eye of the needle back then was a small hole in the side wall of a city that you could come and go when the main gate was locked. It was situated so that you had a hard time to get through it and it was easy for a guard on the other side to decapitate you as you tried to crawl through. It speaks to attachments, just like Buddhist philosophy, how can one be wrong and the other be right? Or is it the other way around.
Whatever the case may be, the real teachings have been infiltrated for sure, and every religion, or new age belief system, or what have you always try to redefine what Jesus was about. Judaism say he was a renegade hippie misguided Jew. Christianity say he was God in flesh. Islam say he's just a prophet. Christian Science (New Age) and most other New Age claim him as one of the great avatars.
And for the average every day person in the rat race, living for the money till they die, they just adopt whatever they were taught from young (mostly).
For the rest of us, when you talk to these people about religion in a philosophical or historical perspective, they think you have too much time on your hand or are crazy, haha.
But everyone is touched by this history and like you say the Trilaterals or Masons are deeply rooted in mystery religion practices. So, whether they like it or not, it has a direct impact in their everyday lives.
Waking up is not easy, is it?
